7: In the Kingdom of Mountains and Hills, darkness reigns
7
In the Kingdom of Mountains and Hills, darkness reigns.
Plants die, crops wither, the very stone grows cold.
The Dark Brother returns to claim the throne so bold.
Secrets of Kings may aid their Battle, yet the price is much,
For brother may fight brother while sisters quarrel such.
When all seems lost, the Bell will sound,
Then are the forgotten brethren found.
From beyond the waves, up from the dust, come their trains.
Please discuss below.

All I can guess at thus far is that is has something to do with the dwarves. They are in darkness now due to whatever crazy spell has put them in a world of continuious night due to the dark elves.
From there is anyone's guess. Perhaps a new King will take the throne and cause a great upheaval amonst the dwarves and there could be a dwarven civil war.

The last two lines:
"Then are the forgotten brethren found.
From beyond the waves, up from the dust, come their trains."
seems to refer more to the sea and fire elves people brought up elsewhere. Or are there kinds of dwarves in the watery sea and the Sea of Dust too?
And how is there darkness over there? Can it be removed? Seems that if you take away the darkness, the dark elves couldn't even fight over there.

Humm...bell, bell, bell.
I seem to recall something about Blackthorn and a bell to awaken something called a dragon I think. Shardalana Seabreeze, not to bring this name up, and was it not Peprin who were working on such a quest?
As for the breathern forgotton, if memmory serves me correctly are there not something called sea dwarves?

It was a term I believed they used. Blackthorne wanted to free something and that bell was the means by which he intended to do so.
This was at least three years ago and my mind is a bit fuzzy on this, but when Fate was talking about a bell it triggered something.
