C.A.R.P.S.

[Res Ipsa]

*Res saunters into the room, plops himself into an empty chair and puts his muddied boots up on the table in front of him. He slides a throwing dagger out of one of his boots and spends a few minutes picking dirt out of one of his fingernails with it, then glances over idly at the room and states, loudly,*

"Hey... "

*The noise of the inn continues unabated. Frowning, he raises his voice and yells above the din*

"HEY!"

*the Inn quiets down and people turn to look at him. He flashes a crooked smile and says,*

"Anyone up for doing something really exciting, insanely dangerous, completely crazy, and probably very stupid; all for very little money?"

*He pauses a moment and slides the dagger back into his boot*

"Also.... anyone seen Lady Winter?"

[pdusen]

"If it's a fight you refer to, I am always interested," Elias responds. "Otherwise, I doubt I can be of much assistance."

[Edrial]

*the 9 foot tall sparkly orc walks over and sits down at the table with res*
Well, I am always up for dangerous and stupid with little pay. *grins* What do you need Res?

*Valkren looks over to Res*

"Stupid, dangerous, and for very little pay? Sign me up, Res!"

[X-GM Snow]

*Valkren looks over at the now shiny Edrial*

*In a loud whisper*
"So, uh, Edrial... I hope we don't have to be sneaky, because you might stick out a bit. At least our enemies will tremble in fear!

*In a mimicking, high pitched tone (still whispering)*

"Awww, look, he's so shiny.... BY THE BEARD OF SYLAS, OWWW, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" (still whispered, despite his attempts to be loud)

[olaf]

YES! Pray tell our survival odds are near 50% - that is best!"

"And that there will be booze!"

"Hakon, you must stay behind as you are 38.647 lbs. too heavy to be weilded effectively by my remaining hand."

[X-GM Snow]

"Renaming hand, Olaf? What happened to the other one?"

[NPC Ken]

*Res grins again and motions to the barkeep.* "Drinks all around for my volunteers. There's the start of your ale, Olaf... more comin'... and yeah, it's a dangerous mission alright. We have to go deep into the heart of the chaos mountains."

"Incidentally ... how good are you all at chasing giant chickens?"

*He eyes the glittering orc* "have we met?"

[X-GM Snow]

*Valkren grins, grabs his drink, and asks Res,*

"How deep, and what is this about a giant chicken?"

[NPC Ken]

"Deep enough to be dangerous. Not so deep that we won't survive. Already looked into it."

"And i believed i said chickenS. Can't say more'n that as this is an extremely important mission vital to our cause. You will get to keep whatever treasure and/or weird body parts of creatures or alchemical components that you find. I'm just in it for what's at the end of our search."

"So... Elias, Valkren... " * He looks at the orc*, "Sparkles, Olaf, and Aurora already said she'd come. That's a good start."

"Any of you good in the woods? Gonna need trackers for this one."

[X-GM Snow]

*Valkren thinks about it for a second, and then replies, in a whisper*

"Hmmm, I can probably be an expert by next moon if I can find someone to teach me. How will we be getting there? I don't fancy going through the void again."

[Res Ipsa]

*Res rubs his hands together* "Excellent! And no need for the void when I'm around. We'll take the ways."

[X-GM Snow]

*Valkren grins manically*

*In an audible whisper*

"Excellent! Adventure, and a journey deep into the mountains of chaos... I'll find someone to teach me how to track, anything else we'll need for this perilous adventure, Res?"

[Vaanak]

Vaanak shakes her head. "You no need to learn how to track. If Olaf going I'm going too and I'm good in the woods."

*Valkren looks relieved at the thought of having Vaanak with them*

"Great! That means I can put my resources elsewhere."
(Whispered)
